On-page optimization of Opencart online store Rosini.bg
The site is built on the Opencart e-commerce platform and has a fully responsive /adaptive/ design which allows it to be displayed equally well on devices with different resolutions - desktop and mobile.
We did internal /on-page/ SEO for better user experience and excellent performance of the site in search engine rankings. After the organic optimization, the site loads significantly faster /under 1 sec./ when loading the site from a Bulgarian server and under 4 sec. when loading from a remote server.
Activities performed:
- Replacing and configuring the caching module on the site;
- Compression of multimedia files without visible loss of image quality;
- Migration of the site to another hosting provider;
- Site content compression including enabling GZIP compression.
- CSS, HTML and Javascript optimization and minification.
- Install and integrate WebP format for the images on the site;
- Redesign and optimize the main /mega menu/ structure in depth;
- Refinement of the checkout page.
Results achieved - Before the optimizations, the site had a very bloated homepage with a size of almost 10 MB, which greatly affected the loading speed of the site.

According to the tests, the performance of the site has improved significantly. After compressing the images and introducing the WebP format, the size of the homepage has dropped from 9.7 MB to 3.61 MB, a reduction of 63%. The initial loading speed of the website content after optimizations has dropped below 1 sec for desktop devices and below 4 sec for mobile devices.
