Redesign and development of new Prestashop online store RevitaBG
We did a complete redesign and built a completely new online shop of the largest supplier of nutritional supplements in Bulgaria - RevitaBG. The new website is based on the online trading system Prestashop. We migrated the structure and imported the products from the old site to the new one, keeping the full URL structure of the products and categories. We separated the blog section into a separate WordPress installation in a subdirectory to the main site directory. We made a full two-way integration of both systems - Prestashop and WordPress, with the ability to add reference posts from the blog to the online store and add reference products from the online store to the blog articles respectively. The design of both systems is identical and was created specifically for the project. Thus, we achieved the optimal effect in terms of SEO by combining the capabilities of a classic e-commerce system in the face of Prestashop with the capabilities of the best blog CMS in the face of WordPress.
The site is fully responsive /adaptive/ design which makes it convenient to work on any type of device - desktop and mobile and at any screen resolution.
We did internal SEO for a better user experience and excellent website performance in search engine rankings. After the technical optimization, the site loads significantly faster /under 1 sec./ when loading the site from a Bulgarian server and under 4 sec. when loading from a remote server. We optimized the multimedia files and compressed the content of the site. We optimized CSS, HTML and Javascript code for better positioning of the site in search engines. We achieved scores over 80/100 for mobile and dextop devices when testing the site in Google PageSpeed Insights.
